Most of the things i treasure
have not real world worth
the love, my hope, my memories
will not put coins in any purse
i could be a millionaire
but i could be much worse
i could lose my soul
to the lure of money's curse
Nor do i want fame
(i've seen the results of that game)
and how the allure changes
and estranges you from those you hold dear
and i want my friends and family near
to share in what in me i have found
but how to drop a pebble in the water
with making a ripple or a sound?...
