Been known to second guess,
hindsight's twenty/twenty
for when you look back at the mess
you can see the mistakes were plenty
Sometimes i can procrastinate so much
the moment passes by, too late to touch
too much time spent upon the ifs and ands and buts
and lose a lifetime in the dust of your confusion
without a firm conclusion or resolution
or seeing any clearer at all...
Can you recall just how it went,
can you recall each minute spent?
What you recall , what you forget,
do the joys outnumber regret?
Crying in the face of adversity
dying a little more each day
searching for the arms that never held me
the soothing voice to tell me
it's ok , be still my son
i have been shown little and taught less
but have learned many a harsh lesson along the way
A lifetime losing, afraid of the choosing
leads to the conclusion perhaps this is my fate
to wander and founder in the life's seas
till i finally i sink to the bottom,
perhaps there i shall have peace...
