Took the Leap of Faith last night
and landed on my feet
Believe it, i did leave it but returned
to Earth, again complete
For i had lost heart and resolve,
watched my heart shatter, then dissolve
A mute Sphinx, a Gordian Knot to solve
while my World spun out of control
as the Earth continued to revolve
as ever, as ever...
How a kind act and good intentions
becomes something else
leads one to beg the question;
If you could take back
what was said in anger
and say what you did not mention
will the bitter Truth set you free
or will the cure come too late
for the sake of an ounce of prevention?...
