Endurance...

Endurance
     takes on many meanings
and many reasons
     in the face of what you endure...
Endurance like the patience of a saint
     with soft sigh and roll of eyes
and here we go again
     Endurance like the long distance runner
striving against no one but himself
     and Time as the seconds tick away
Endurance like the loving parents
     who remember their own mistakes
and forgive them in their children
     Endurance of children seeing  parents
with flaws and all
     but still loving to see their faces
What we endure is our own faults we see in others
     What we endure is sometimes because we see no other way
We endure because we love in the face of doubt
     We endure because we hope better
will be what tomorrow will bring about
     Love is a lesson in endurance,
we endure because of it
     and for it
if it does not endure,
     if it does not help us to endure
then it was not Love...
