Lagrima Mundi II

Let my have my life
though it never has seemed mine
seems there has been something else behind
     churning me, trying to turn
my milk of human kindness into cream
     Is it all a dream,
though i think my senses are very keen
is seems i have slipped between
the cracks of civilization and its discontents

Now i come to see
     nothing is what it appears
It is never as bad as what you fear
but that does not change how hard you cry
Is it foolish of me to go on asking why
when how is what matters most of all?

Let you see life through my eyes
Tired and bloodshot though they be
If you had seen what i have seen
would you be in a similar place?
The lines upon my face,
     i have sorely earned every one;
some are laugh lines etched by the sun,
some are tears cried for everyone
for i see the sadness in you all...

Now i think i see
     nothing is as it appears,
it is never as bad as what you fear
but that does not change how hard you cry
Is it foolish of me to go on asking why
when how is what matters most of all?

Let us live our lives
     as honestly as we can
for such is the lot  of man
that we make excuses for what we're not
Look at what you've got
and try to make the best of it
for if the key does not not fit
you were reaching for the wrong door...

Now i think i see
     nothing is as it appears,
it is never as bad as what you fear
but that does not change how hard you cry
Is it foolish of me to go on asking why
when how is what matters most of all?
