Record Breaking...

In the swelter; is humid better?
it 's hard to tell whether it's good or it's bad
As if moving through curtains of moisture,
perhaps i should seek The Cloisters,
where the thick walls of stone
keep the cool, keep the calm

The urgency of heat
when it is felt beneath the feet
The hurried footsteps
and harried missteps
when the heat affects the brain
Keeping an even plane
so very hard to maintain
when your too aware of your environs
and the fire all about

But this too shall pass
in New England the weather lasts
longer than you want
but less than you desire
So perspire but don't tire
don't let the weather conspire to beat you
the heat you curse today
will be the cold you curse tomorrow...
