As the light gathers,
preparing for the coming day,
i sit gazing at the line in the East;
knowing i am not the greatest nor the least,
just another in the grumbling belly of the Beast...
The One who rules this World but not the Earth,
the One you've been warned about
by the pundits and priests
I've often wondered if he exists,
why he would want a World such as this,
filled with so much pain and so little happiness?
Seems there's very little for him to do...
So just sit back, Satan, and enjoy the view
we are destroying ourselves and this World
without any help from you,
thank you very much
though i'm sure you give some here
and take some there,
adding your special touch
Or is it really true that our Devil comes from within;
that recognizing that fact and then ignoring it
has been Man's greatest sin?...
