Pillar of Salt (II)

Glistening, gliding,
    falling gently, sliding
tracing wet tracks on grizzled face
     Drops in a bucket,
how deep is the sea?
     Half of the oceans are my salty tears
A lifetime of sighing, an Eternity crying,
     the fool who keeps trying
to learn what he preaches
     Physician, heal thyself!
leper, conceal thyself,
     for no one else wants to hear that tale
To what avail to rant and rail,
     how long before i see behind this veil?
The caul that covered my sight at birth
     brought not precognition;
sadly, the opposite if little else
