Cast a pall upon it all,
let the chips fall where they may
Tired of the difference between
what people mean and what they say
Who do you think you are fooling anyway
when your eyes can't hide the lies?
Am i so naive to take your words at face value
when body language and glances averted
will not hide true meaning?
Why do i continue to believe
when those willing to help
are far outnumbered by the need?
Human avarice and greed
while the world  cries as it bleeds
bitter tears, indeed...
