Oh, Say Don't You See?...

By the rockets red glare,
     under Mt. Rushmore's icy stare,
in the patina of Lady Liberty's hair
     what do you see?   

In the shadow of the Vietnam Wall,
     by the Halls of Montezuma,
in the calls that came too late
    what do you see?

Now that Might makes Right,
     rationalizing why we fight  
by Dawn's early light
     what do you see? 

Still, being the greatest country
    doesn't end the hypocrisy
Are we truly the Land of the Free?
   What do you see?
