It's a strange life,
     i could tell you some things
that would curl your hair
     And it's no lie,
are your feet on the ground
     or in the air?
Don't want to hear this
     on your one night to go out and howl
     Don't talk disasters...
Another spill?
    Throw me a bar towel...

But, yes, i know
     it happens every day
I watch the news
     read the papers Sunday
Another name, a different name
     a subtle change
but doesn't it make you wonder
     is life not strange?

It's a short life
     i could never catch up
with my mistakes
    Can't find a reason,
don't want excuses,
     there's always tough breaks
Don't want to hear this...
     gotta go earn your daily bread
     Where's evolution
if we all did what came into our heads?

But, yes, i know
     it happens every day

It's  a wonderful life,
     not the movie
but the real thing...
     It's what you make it
A party , what covered dish did you bring?
     Don't want to hear this,
in the sky you want your reward
     Hope there's a heaven
for the millions who spend their lives bored
