Wish Upon the Light...

A new day, 
     let me find a new way
take the light from without
     and warm my soul from within
for fear chills and doubt kills hope
     when it seems you're at the end of your rope
A new sun, i pray today is the one
     that will let me see what's been blinding me
stopping me from believing
     give myself what i'm needing
stop the bleeding of my soul
     which has always been at my control
but steering in the wrong direction
     I stand corrected, today i am expectant
let it last, let me hold fast
     to what i know to be true...
